Supporting our Young Veteran's
The Veterans 360 mission is to provide young, recently-separated combat veterans, with a program of support that will help them develop the professional and interpersonal skills needed to succeed in civilian life. Our goal is that through engagement, education, employment, and healing, our student-veterans will utilize what they have learned to manage the resources that are available to them and become better equipped to ensure a successful transition into civilian life.
Combat trauma and its impact on basic coping skills can lead to unemployment, domestic violence, substance abuse, divorce, despondency and in all too many cases, suicidal ideation. Combat trauma is a natural extension of combat, not a personal failure to cope. Veterans aged 18-25 are more likely than older veterans to have higher rates of serious psychological distress, substance abuse disorder, or suicidal ideation.
"22 veterans on average take their lives each and every day"
During their engagement with V360, young veterans will receive basic skills training in recognized civilian trades, opportunities to serve in local service projects, sustained esprit de corps with their fellow veterans, education and coaching to enhance their personal well-being with a goal to move them into meaningful employment.
Veterans’ entitlements or benefits will never be used to pay for our services. In fact, we will counsel our squad members on how to keep a firm grip on the funds and benefits available to them until they are better educated on how and when to use them.
To be successful and reduce epidemic levels of veteran suicide, we need support and commitment from the communities we serve.
Please join us and help those who have serviced in harm’s way.
